Newton Upstanders

Our Values

Newton Upstanders is dedicated to upholding our community's commitment to embracing diversity and creating a welcoming culture based on equity, inclusion, and belonging for everyone. We believe that celebrating people of varying races, gender identities, sexual orientations, neurodiversities, abilities, ages, religions, and countries of origin makes us a stronger and more vibrant community. We are dedicated to supporting the programs, policies, and practices that uplift marginalized communities and amplify the voices of those who are so often silenced.

Recognizing the insidious influence of some national organizations on local actions, we resist efforts to undermine DEI programs and policies. We pledge to take action when we see others being harmed or in response to attacks on our widely held community values.

There is no place for hate in Newton.
